IGNITE at ChefTreff 2025

For two days, the ChefTreff trade fair once again brought around 5,000 visitors, entrepreneurs and people interested in founding to the Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg. We were there from IGNITE with about ten committed members and were able to take in plenty of impressions, have exciting conversations and be part of a great program.

Besides the many exhibiting companies and initiatives, the line-up of speakers was especially impressive: among others, Markus Lanz, Tarek Müller (About You), Annahita Esmailzadeh (Microsoft) and Dr. Michael Otto (Otto Group) took part. Hamburg’s First Mayor Peter Tschentscher was also a guest and underlined the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation for the city. The sessions ranged from cleantech investments and founding stories to social responsibility and leadership – there was something for everyone, and exchange on equal footing was the focus everywhere.

One special highlight was the launch of the Impossible Founders program. The initiative aims to support scientists in making the leap into founding – especially in deep tech, artificial intelligence, energy, mobility and materials research. With strong partners from business and science, Impossible Founders wants to establish Hamburg as the leading deep-tech ecosystem in Europe. An inspiring vision that moved us at IGNITE as well.
